Frustration

It's frustrating...

This week three of my Blogger blogs were flagged as spam blogs and had to go under review....Two of them have since been re-opened and I am waiting for the last one to get unlocked. Two of the blogs that were flagged as spam have no posts on them. I use them for testing out new templates....

Sad when folks have no life that they feel the need to stir it up to cause other people grief.....

Bad blogger! ROFL!!!

It has been ages since I have blogged on Blogger! I almost forgot how to create a post!
We've been really busy here. Hubby is doing home renovations, I'm still designing and our daughter keeps up hopping with her activities. I am hoping life will slow down once her stuff finishes at the end of June. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I need tactical pants

I come from a family of RCMP officers and I have always loved their clothing. Never mind the dress clothes, I mean the regular daily wear. The tactical pants are comfortable and don't constrict, which is a pleasant change in this age of show as much booty as possible. I found a place where I can buy those 5.11 tactical pants . The prices are reasonable which is also a refreshing change. Time for me to shop!!!

Beeping

Most times my father sends jokes that are real groaners. However, every now and again I get one that cracks me right up. (the problems with having a twisted sense of humor I guess..) . This one is from my mom....

Grandpa was driving with his 9 year old granddaughter and beeped the
horn by mistake. She turned and looked at him for an explanation.

He said, "I did that by accident."

She replied, "I know that, Grandpa."

He replied, "How did you know?"

She said, "Because you didn't say "asshole" afterwards

Things are starting to turn around here. My daughter's ears are better and she's going back to school today. I am feeling almost normal and can get back to working. The snow is melting fast so I can see the lawn again. Yes...things are looking up.

How I stayed out of debt

Sometimes it’s very hard NOT to get into debt. There will always be mortgage debt and various other kinds. The trick for us was to live within our means. My husband and I decided that getting out of debt was more important than anything else. Special treats like going out for supper , going to a movie or vacations were put on the backburner until we had extra cash saved up. We refuse to use our credit cards. We didn’t buy new vehicles. We bought used. Any repairs that had to be done were done by my husband unless it was out of his league. Then we paid a mechanic cash and saved ourselves the taxes. In the end, we have only 6 years left of debt to pay off and we are free and clear. We will own our house and won’t owe the bank anything. Not everyone can do what me and my husband do. There is another way. It would be nice if no one had to worry about paying bills or having enough saved to put their kids through school. Debt Management may be an option for them. Something to think about.

Human again...

We are starting to feel human again....except my daughter. She's down with a double ear infection. She's sleeping now after being up all night. She didn't want to bug us while we were sleeping. She needs her rest more than we do...

Rap anyone?

I love all kinds of music. Rap is a genre not everyone enjoys but I do. My current favorite is Kanye West and often crank his music at home while I work. I was doing some surfing this morning and came across a site that is devoted to rap music. Lo and behold I found Kanye West and discovered tons of information , his discography and a photo gallery too.

Lesson learned

Tonight was a rough night for my daughter and I. We have been arguing back and forth for weeks now. She wants the kitten to go outside. Her dad & I refuse. The kitten is an indoor cat. Why? Our other cat, was hit by a van 3 years ago. Luckily he survived but we weren't sure if he would pull through. He was paralyzed and had a concussion among other injuries. He ended up with a dislocated tail and 3 disks in his back are injured. He is a very lucky cat. He no longer travels the properties. He learned his lesson. He stays close to home with his humans.Tonight , our daughter understood why we are so adamant about the kitten staying indoors. Tonight on our way home, I hit and killed a cat. I couldn't swerve because of traffic and I couldn't slam on the brakes either because there was a transport on my tail. She understood in that one awful moment what our other cat went through and why we want to keep the kitten inside. It was a hard lesson to learn.

The Snowstorm

We finally got dug out after teh storm. We got about a foot and a half of snow but winds caused a lot of drifting. Hubby is happy that he can ski-doo for a few more days and he and Julie built an igloo today.I must check it out tomorrow as the weather dude is calling for pouring rain by Thursday. Bleh.
